Don Voisine is the current President of the American Abstract Artists which was founded in 1936. Exhibitions celebrating the anniversary include: Splendor of Dynamic Structure: Celebrating 75 Years of the America Abstract Artists, Herbert F. Johnson Museum, Cornell University, Ithaca, NY January 22 – March 20, 2011, American Abstract Artists International, 75th Anniversary 1936-2011, at Oqbo, Raum für Bild Wort und Ton and the Deutscher Künstlerbund in Berlin, May 14 – June 10, 2011 as well as American Abstract Artists, 75th Anniversary, at the OK Harris Gallery in New York, May 21 – July 15, 2011. Abstraction ∞, The Icebox, Crane Arts, Philadelphia, PA. Don Voisine was invited to participate in the Invitational Exhibition of Visual Arts at the American Academy of Arts and Letters in New York, March 8 – April 10, 2011. His work, Thru and Thru 2009 (above) was selected for the Hassam, Speicher, Betts and Symons Purchase Fund Award at the American Academy, and will be on view in their Exhibition of Work by Newly Elected Members and Recipients of Honors and Awards, May 19 – June 12, 2011.
The Corcoran Gallery of Art has acquired “Thru and Thru” through the American Academy of Arts and Letters.
Don Voisine is included in Might it Again be Somewhat Less? Eleven Positions in the Salon of the 21st Century, at pp Projects in Hamburg, Germany, November 26, 2010 – March 19, 2011.

2011 Portland Museum of Art Biennial

“High Time” 2008 was selected for inclusion in the Portland Museum of Art Biennial 2011, Portland ME.  April 7th-June 5th, 2011. “High Time ” received a purchase prize and is now part of the museum’s permanent collection.
